Care instructions
Resin Items:
Keep items out of direct sunlight. Clear resins will yellow over time, the resin I use is formulated to minimize this, but direct sunlight will accelerate it.
Clean only with water and dish soap, no chemicals should be used.
Resin tops can be unscrewed from bottle stoppers for ease of cleaning the stoppers.
Handle items gently to prevent scratching.
Remove fingerprints and similar marks with a soft microfiber or cotton cloth.
Additional applications of Carnauba wax can be added for extra protection.
Wood Items:
Avoid furniture “cleaning” and “polishing” products like Pledge, they can add a waxy build up that will dull over time and is difficult to remove.
Do not use cleaning chemicals like 409 or similar, these can have adverse reactions with the wood and the finish.
Clean with a soft cloth and a little bit of water, dish soap can be used if necessary.
If necessary, surfaces can be renewed by polishing with a high-quality furniture (not automotive) paste wax.
Woods like Walnut can lighten with time, keep items out of direct sunlight to minimize this.
Conversely, woods like Cherry will darken over time and items left on Cherry for long periods of time will reveal an area with a lighter color when removed.
