Care instructions

Resin Items:

  • Keep items out of direct sunlight. Clear resins will yellow over time, the resin I use is formulated to minimize this, but direct sunlight will accelerate it.

  • Clean only with water and dish soap, no chemicals should be used.

  • Resin tops can be unscrewed from bottle stoppers for ease of cleaning the stoppers.

  • Handle items gently to prevent scratching.

  • Remove fingerprints and similar marks with a soft microfiber or cotton cloth.

  • Additional applications of Carnauba wax can be added for extra protection.

Wood Items:

  • Avoid furniture “cleaning” and “polishing” products like Pledge, they can add a waxy build up that will dull over time and is difficult to remove.

  • Do not use cleaning chemicals like 409 or similar, these can have adverse reactions with the wood and the finish.

  • Clean with a soft cloth and a little bit of water, dish soap can be used if necessary.

  • If necessary, surfaces can be renewed by polishing with a high-quality furniture (not automotive) paste wax.

  • Woods like Walnut can lighten with time, keep items out of direct sunlight to minimize this.

  • Conversely, woods like Cherry will darken over time and items left on Cherry for long periods of time will reveal an area with a lighter color when removed.
